Copper recovers on global cues

New Delhi, May 17. In limited deals, copper prices recovered by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased industrial demand amid a firm global trend. Traders said increased industrial demand amid a firm global trend mainly led to rise in copper prices. Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months traded up 0.1 per cent at USD 7,285 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange. In the national capital, copper mixed scrap recovered by Rs 2 to Rs 419 per kg. The following were today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 113-119, nickel plate (4x4) 1,056-1,059 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 419, chadri deshi 285. Lead ingot 136, lead imported 134, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142.
